Call for Abstracts – ICBWH Congress

The Organizing Committee of the ICBWH Congress warmly invites researchers to contribute to the scientific program by submitting their abstracts. Abstracts should be submitted through the official Congress website.

Abstracts submitted by June 15, 2025, will be considered for both oral and poster presentations. Posters will be thematically categorized, and dedicated poster sessions will provide presenters with the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions with attendees. The top three posters will be recognized with Poster Awards during the Congress. All presentations will be conducted in person; there will be no online or remote presentations options. 

All accepted abstracts will be published in the Congress Abstract Book, issued by NEU Press.

Important Points

Abstracts must be submitted in English using the congress abstract template. The abstract template must be used without changing the format. Please click here for the abstract template. Abstracts must report new or recent substantive scientific results on the congress topics from the lab(s) of the author(s). Each registrant can submit maximum two research abstract for evaluation. The same abstract cannot be submitted by different participants.

Information for the Oral Presentation

• Each author will have 20 minutes for their oral presentation: 15–17 minutes for the presentation and 3–5 minutes for Q&A. Please ensure your presentation is uploaded well in advance of your session.

Information for the Poster Presentation

• The posters must be prepared in English.
• Posters must be prepared with maximum dimensions of 100 cm (height) x 70 cm (width).
• Poster should be readable at a distance of at least 1 meter.
• Materials for mounting posters will be available at the Poster Info Point on-site.

Assessment and Screening

Abstracts submitted to the Congress will be screened for relevance to the Congress’ scientific content, and for presentation. Abstracts submitted for consideration for oral and poster presentations will be assessed for scientific quality, novelty and the fit with the Congress subtopics.
